Why Aerate & Fertilize?
Aeration loosens the roots of the grass to allow nutrients, air, and water into the lawn.
Fertilization provides additional nutrients to the lawn such as nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium after aeration.
Both are essential to ensure a healthy, green lawn!
When to Aerate & Fertilize?
Warm-Season Grass Aeration is typically done between mid Spring to end of Summer.
Examples of warm-season grasses include: Bermuda, Zoysia, and St. Augustine.
Cool-Season Grass Aeration is typically done in Fall and early Spring.
Examples of cool-season grasses include: Fescue, Kentucky Bluegrass, and Ryegrass.
Before & After Aeration
Before Aeration - Please have all sprinklers, invisible fences, and/or cables marked. Please also have any hoses, toys, or other items cleared from the lawn. For best results, mow lawn short & water heavily prior to aeration.
After Aeration - Water the day after aeration and allow plugs to naturally disintegrate back into lawn.
